Stomach Problems Gone!

One of my Stages students told me he was having stomach problems. For nearly a decade he was on and off various pharma drugs for gastric distress, acid reflux and the like. I’m sure you’ve seen  the brand names he used on TV.

"Why not try L-glutamine?" I asked. So off he went to buy a bottle. It didn’t work. He tried another bottle. It didn’t work. He tried a third bottle with a company brand I always recommend – Jarrow – and with one tablet his multiyear problem finally disappeared. He told a friend, who tried one as well, and BINGO! – His many years of suffering were now gone one as well.

Now I’m not saying that L-Glutamine will cure your stomach problems, but it certainly is one of the first things I’d try (in addition to looking at your diet and eating habits). All the Stages students get a free workover like this. I’d try PepZingi along with L-glutamine (also Jarrow brand) which is a carnosine-zinc supplement that might help, too. The big lesson  is that this student tried two other brands before he found one that worked. That’s the interesting thing, and it’s the point I always make with nutritional supplements – BRANDS matter, and don’t discount a simple remedy if you tried it but used an inferior brand company. I’m amazed that he had trusted my recommendation enough to keep trying bottles and also that the first bottle didn’t work.

Why should the first bottle have worked? Because L-glutamine is an amino acid. It’s a commodity product. It should be the same from company to company. So  the first bottle should have worked. Yet it didn’t. Neither did the second bottle, yet it should have for a commodity product like L-glutamine. Finally when he tried the orignal brand I had recommended (int he first place), the problem was solved.

Quality matters. Brands matter. Many companies offer non-pharmaceutical grade products that just don’t work – and that might have beent he problem here. You check the label, it looks ok, but the supplement  just doesn’t work because the company  used inferior grade products.

That’s usually what happens when you buy a product because of some direct mail piece….you’re wasting your cash.  It also happens with the large corporate companies who buy a family owned supplements firm, and then start substituting cheaper ingredients for  grade A ingredients to increase the margins. The execs  pat themelves on the back as margins and profits improve for a year or so, but then cannot figure out why in year 2 or 3 people aren’t reordering anymore. "The market must be changing," they figure. Iditos – they destroyed their product for short term money. That’s what large corporations do. That’s how they think. "It’s exactly the same substance so it shouldnot matter since the chemical is the same," they convince themselves. But it isn’t.

Coincidentally today I was talking to a famous naturopath who told me he feels less than 5% of nutritional products work or do what you hope they’ll do. Coincidentally today I also bumped into the NOW representative for New York, and we spent an hour talking about the NOW brand which is one of the two that I always recommend. WHY? It’s cheaper than others because they cut out the middle man distributor (which lowers prices by about 25%) and also most of their sales to health stores are done by phone fromt he home office. That’s another big savings, on top of the fact they do very little advertising for a big savings as well. But most of all, it’s still a family held firm that CARES about the products it makes and the ingredients used. Quality is still important.

NOW also has a stomach supplement - the name escapes me – but you can find it and might try it, too. NOW has a fantastic glucosamine-chondroitin formula whose quality is much better than what you’ll find elsewhere when dealing with arthritis and joint problem supplements. They have a new heart supplement and they introduced a very special vitamin E that may give Unique E and Yasso E a run for their money. If you need vitamin E, try their Tru-E brand.

In short,  if you want to try out a supplement when you go to the store, try these two brands first: Jarrow and NOW. They are not always the brand I recommend, but if you have no idea what to buy when you go to a store then you have a high probability of doing OKAY with these two companies.

That’s just my two cents to help you.

MRSA Staph Infections – Here’s What to Do

These last few days I’ve read countless articles on antibiotic resistant staph infections. Dozens in fact … they’re only waking up to the severity now???

Duh! That’s why I wrote Staph Infection Help … because I knew that as time goes on, more and more infections will be resistant to antibiotics, and the pharmaceutical firms won’t be able to create new antibiotics that work anymore. This has to happen. The pharmaceutical approach, if you think it through, MUST decline in effectiveness and may even stop working altogether (except in simple infections or in places where they haven’t used the drugs before, such as in the amazon jungle, etc.).

Guess what’s happening? Just that. All it requires is some thinking to realize the medical paradigm of infection treatment MUST therefore change, and change quickly.  It’s simple thinking – you don’t need a PhD to do this and forge the correct research policy. All you need to do is THINK (Which is why I finally clapped when Bill Gates said he’s devoting money to curing malaria, because if you think about it you’ll realize that’s one of the key hinges to everything in malaria prevalent areas  - health, economics, etc.)  And all you need do is look around at what’s happening – You go into a hospital healthy and nearly everyone now comes out with an infection! It’s deadly to visit a hospital nowadays. It’s also deadly to get vaccinations at times too. Just CHECK and then think.    I always criticize legislators when they’re just swallowing the establishment line and not thinking anymore, and are ignoring the BIG issues like this that become GIGANTIC issues in time. Gosh, 5 minutes  on the internet can inform you of the pro and con on almost anything nowadays….ALWAYS look at all sides of an issue.

The only reasons drug companies keep researching antibiotics rather than the other methods that work, but which they can’t patent (but still will make money on) is because they can’t get a monopolistic patent. It’s about money, not helping people. Money. They are in business to make money. That’s one reason drug companies don’t focus on cures but on drugs to manage a disease — it’s one bottle of pills versus a monthly prescription that needs to be refilled forever. Get it? Not always, but there is a research tendency to go where the bigger dollars are.

So, my book on this is to help not just this nation, but ALL NATIONS and all people. No one else was doing it so I had to. There will come a time (probably in the next 50 years) when antibiotics won’t be working for MOST infections in general. And then they’ll have to use the other therapies I’ve mentioned — oxygen therapies, hydrogen peroxide, electrification of the blood, colloidal silver (or mercury) therapies, etc. A few doctors have written asking for the blood electrification chapter, etc. so it’s posted on the site somewhere.(There are LOTS of patents in that area, by the way).

I couldn’t put all these therapies in the Staph book, so just focused on one problem only and the solutions that may save lives.

What more can someone do? For those Gulf War vets who are exposed to depleted uranium, and for our citizens in case there ever was a nuclear plant accident or dirty bomb, potassium iodide stores won’t be enough and the hospitals won’t know what to do. That’s why, as my contribution, I wrote Radiation Detox as well.  It’s just like I said, we spend billions on nuclear weapons and studies but barely a cent on what to do if someone attacks us with those things, which is a good possibility if we keep insisting it’s OK to proactively attack a country with nuclear weapons while forgetting the fact that revenge is rarely forgotten EVEN AFTER DECADES, and  will likely prompt a counter response whenever it eventually becomes possible.

That’s a perfect example of leadership arrogance and the stupidity of NOT THINKING through the long term, blow back or cause-and-effect  (like antibiotics resistance and the doomed antibiotic approach forever), an instance of not understanding human behavior once again. What do we call this in cultivation – a lack of wisdom, and when bad things happen the excuse "We didn’t know it would happen. Who could have possibly expected that? etc. etc."  Their view of history isn’t long enough and understanding isn’t deep enough. I have to do all I can to protect my nation with my little contribution, despite the  ignorance of my leaders, and you should, too. All you can do is offer.

You can make the same sorts of contributions to the country. Pick a problem, research it, find the solutions, and put them together, like any good journalist does, in a book. For instance, it caught my eye that gonorrhea is becoming more prevalent and antibiotic resistant, but doctors in China cure it with a "poison attacks poison" TCM therapy. That’s the type of information that can save lives if publicized. I once read of a doctor in Vietnam who hooked himself on opium in order to see what would work to cure himself, because of all the suffering he saw in his country, and then traveled around for years trying every cure he could find. That type of info is extremely valuable. I once had a girlfriend  doctor who  actually saw a herbal concoction in Ethiopia which cured rabies. I didn’t believe it when I first heard it, but all these things should be published so someone can use the indications to make breakthroughs.

You can find all sorts of information like this on the internet now, which is basically for free. I had to do it the hard way –expensive books and lots of labor and time reading and researching. You can do it in hours. So pick a topic, in any field, and make a contribution.

For agriculture pick up a copy of ACRES magazine, and you’ll see there’s so much you can write about. For health, check out the PRICE POTTENGER FOUNDATION and the topics they’re discussing. I have favorite nexus points for economics, politics, military, statesmanship, education, creativity, meditation, social welfare, investments, and all sorts of other topics. If you want to become enlightened, or just helpful to society, you have to know these things. A Buddha knows about everything because he studies. Dig in!

As I always say, as a layman, meditation isn’t something you leave off, but you have to bring clear introspection into your daily world and examine what you are doing, especially moreso now that the world is more complicated, quicker, and people seem to be championing the wrong principles on  the airwaves. Turn it off a bit and start thinking for yourself. Examine history. Ask what you would want to happen to YOU…if you don’t want something to happen to you, then don’t do it to others. You cannot avoid the karma otherwise.

It’s pretty simple to figure out karmic consequences:

Confucius: "Do not do to (impose upon) others what you do not want done to you."
Jesus: "Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you."
Mencius: "Do not do what you would not do, and don’t desire what you would not desire. That is all."
Hinduism (Mahabharata): "Do naught to others which if done to thee would cause thee pain."
Judaism (Talmud): "What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow men. That is the entire law; all the rest is commentary."
Buddhism (Udana-Varga): "Hurt not others with that which pains yourself."
Christianity (Gospel of Matthew): "All things whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do ye even so unto them: for this is the law and the prophets."

So give if you want to receive, offer if you want to help. But if you want to destroy yourself, then take, hurt, kill, destroy. You cannot escape karma, which in the geopolitical field is called tit-for-tat, blowback, consequences, cause-and-effect, polticial response or "unintended consequences". It might not be immediate, but karmic returns always rebound.

P.S. By the way, if you’re a statesman forging national policy, and you know that antibiotics are destined over time to fail more and more, and that the drug companies are spending their research dollars on more antibiotic research which, in time, is also doomed to fail, what do you do? You support research(publicly funded)  on the non-antibiotic alternatives that may work but which the drug companies won’t pursue because they don’t  promise monopolistic profits  for companies.

That’s right – you designate government research dollars for investigating other things that may work and then finding the ways to make them works the BEST. The research stipulation is to "make this work" if you can. Otherwise, someone (for instance) studies 15 mg of vitamin E for some health condition and finds out it didn’t do anything….andthen says vitamin E is not effective.  Of course not — 15 mg won’t help anybody with anything. You fund research that is targeted inthis way, "find out if this helps at all, and then find out how to make this work to the maximum effectiveness possible." That’s how you discover how to make lightbulbs — first find out if you can make light, then figure out the best way to maximize it.

See what I mean? That’s what policy makers should be doing in the health field. Stop massive funding of drug research – let the companies do that themselves as they are very efficient at it and will use gov’t funded research to make monopolistic money at the public’s expense. So instead, fund research into natural alternatives (non patentable, so all will benefit) not just to see if there is an effect. but rather, the mandate should be "How can you make this more effective than drugs? What do you have to do? What dosage, type, what do you pair it with, etc. to make this the most effective for this condition?"

That’s working in the public’s interest. Fund research into what profit seeking companies will not fund because there is no profit in it for them, and yet there is public benefit GALORE.

Killing Germs Without Antibiotics

Without going into the details, here are some of the ways to kill off infections which you should research when antibiotics and antivirals don’t seem to be working:

1. hydrogen peroxide – after being taught by a 70+ year old PhD nutritionist (who was diagnosed as terminal from a case of bronchitis so severe she could not lie down or sleep and had spots form on her lungs, and) who cured herself with it, I’ve used it myself to get rid of bronchitis two or three times over the years AFTER antibiotics failed, and yes it’s all it’s cracked up to be for lung diseases

2. ozone therapy

3. true colloidal silver – yep, I’ve used the product from www.PurestColloids.com to get rid of all sorts of infections where everything else failed

4. blood electrification – there’s a product coming out this year that is a solid state Rife machine with drift that can therefore mimic pretty well a analog Rife device

5.  immune boosters from the natural supplement, vitamin, mushroom, and herbal field such as hyperimmunized egg powders, garlic, transfer factors, etc.

6. Chinese "poison" therapy TCM – this may be the only hope for the newest drug resistant cases of sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea, wherein the Chinese physician uses a TCM recipe of poisonous scorpions, centipedes, etc. to destroy the disease. The method is called  "using poison to fight poison."

7. intravenous Vitamin C … and yes, Linus Pauling outlived his critics by decades!

Bacteria Cause Cancer? They Sure Can Cause Scleroderma!

Can bacteria cause cancer? Can viruses or microbes cause cancer?

Heresy!

Let’s crucify the guy who says this. (I wonder if this is a reverse "hate crime" in persecuting such opinions, even though there’s tons of research backing it up. LOL!).

Here’s a great snopysis of the literature on microbes and cancer, and the fact there is a connection but "pathologists, dermatologists, infectious disease specialists, oncologists, virologists, microbiologists, and basically all medical scientists … have ignored a century of cancer research pointing to cancer microbes."

The author Alan Cantwell  explains why. The explanation is very believable and UNDERSTANDABLE as even saying this makes you a threat to the medical establishment, with billions at stake and hundreds of very red, embarrassed faces. As the author wrote, "As I see it, the identification of simple-to-see cancer microbes would cause havoc in the scientific world and in the cancer treatment industry. It would be the biggest embarrassment to befall modern medicine."

http://bacteriality.com/2007/09/11/cantwell

Incidentally, the author Alan Cantwell  mentions that bacteria can cause scleroderma (a skin hardening disease that can kill), which Dr. Brown found out ages ago. That’s one reason I wrote a book on Scleroderma and told people witht he condition to seek a rheumatologist who can administer the Dr. Brown-Mercola antibiotic protocol which has saved thousands of lives – PROVEN! Every now and then I even get a letter from someone telling me how it saved their child’s life.

And you know what?

Though a prescription antibiotic protocol works in reversing scleroderma, and though this knowledge is no threat to the medical establishment because it still involves the use of establishment drugs and thousands of "incurables" have been saved, it’s still not accepted by the establishment.

Imagine that. Reminds me of the case where that Australian doctor proved the bacteria H.Pylori was causing many cases of stomach ulcers and the pharmaceutical medical establishment, with billions of dollars at stake since the cure cost less than $10, lined up not to see if he was correct but to try to defeat him. Hmmmmmmmm……money at stake, but in this case what’s at stake?

As I say with nearly everything — the internet is in front of you. Do your research. Be independent. Think! You’re so lucky to have the internet….I had to buy and READ hundreds and hundreds of books over the years to learn all these things, and now they are yours at zero expense and at your very fingertips on demand. Make use of it as you never know if it will be taken away.

Headaches and Meditation

Sometimes I am asked, "Is meditation causing my headaches?"

Firs of all, use your common sense…does anyone anymore  dare risk saying anything to an unknown stranger in such a litigious society, especially someone you don’t know and  don’t see in person? If a doctor doesn’t do that, why would you … especially when the answer only involves commonsense?

The standard answer for any health question/issue is: if you have a health issue, see a doctor.  See a physician.

Now, if you asked a different question, "Can meditation cause headaches?" or "Can  headaches occur as a result of strenuous cultivation?" –  that’s a different issue. You can read the story of Zen master Hakuin (and the So Cream meditation) for an answer to that; Tibetan medicine contains all sorts of formulas for problems caused by unbalanced FORCEFUL meditations, which is why I don’t recommend them unless you have a teacher at hand. Ardent cultivators of the forceful form schools in yoga, Taoism, and Tibetan Buddhism typically screw themselves up if they don’t know what they’re doing.

I remember meeting a Chinese student of the Wang Yang Ming neo-Confucian/Taoist cultivation school who  picked the wrong mountain to cultivate in (he thought he was smart), used the wrong Tao school techniques and unleashed all sorts of errant dragon chi currents in his body he could not control — it would take him two years of Chinese TCM on a weekly basis just to get his intestines back into order because of the things he practiced, mistakenly thinking he was brilliant in knowing how to cultivate  forceful techniques. As Master Nan likes to say, which is why he doesn’t teach the esoteric school, the  guys that practice the forceful techniques and esoteric techniques are typically the WORST disasters in cultivation … even the wrong habits they create tend to persist across lives.

First remember, that meditation means letting go of thoughts. If you are letting go of thoughts, and are thus mentally peaceful, why do you have headaches? That should answer most people’s questions. Meditation does not cause illness or sickness. On the other hand, it may REVEAL latent illnesses that are laying dormant.

If you are holding on to thoughts, then just as in regular life due to holding on to stress, a mental worry, or some other problem in life, maybe you are causing yourself headaches. But that’s a different issue than letting go of thoughts. If you can’t differentiate between those two, how can you understand anything in regards to cultivation? So first you have to do some personal diagnosis.

Now if you are letting go of thoughts and your chi starts arising subsequently, you’ll tend to feel it. When the chi channels have opened somewhat to the area of the brain, and the chi starts trying to open up the chi channels in the head because you’ve made this meditation progress, then all sorts of symptoms can come out – more dreams, headaches, pressure int he head in certain obstructed regions opening up, dizziness, hearing voices, etc. In Tao and Longevity, these are discussed with a cool, clear , logical analysis. You can find some of them discussed in the free Chapter 4 of Measuring and the free Stages page download, too. But this happens after you’re making progress, and you should notice allsorts of subsidiary signs to know where you are on the gongfu ladder. So if you start meditating today, and one week later you have headaches, sorry but you’re assuming just too much progress.

Can you have samadhi or be enlightened and still get headaches? Good question. Sure! Once Buddha got a terrible headache and his students asked why. Buddha said, "In a past life I was a little boy, and they drained a pond. I went to the empty pond and started playing with a fish lying there in the drained pool, flopping it up and down and hurting it. Now that karma has matured and I’m experiencing a bad headache as a result."

Everything has a karmic cause …

You can also get irritated even though enlightened. Once Buddha just got tired dealing with all these unruly monks, and made his way into a forest to get away from them for awhile and be by himself. He bumped in to the king of the elephants, who was also a bit tired from dealing with all the troubles of dealing with his clan, and who was there to get away himself for awhile. Recognizing the same situation, Buddha laughed a bit and pat him on the head saying, "You and I are both perturbed." Moral: Even the enlightened get mentally fatigued and need a break, so don’t bother them so much, especially with trifles. The same was said of Moses in the Bible even though just a samadhi master.

You can still get sick, too, with samadhi attainments and even enlightenment, especially catching colds or the flu. Why? In Chinese medicine it’s called a "wind invasion" – your chi channels are open and easily invaded by external wind (chi) which results in sickness. This has nothing to do with negative thoughts, unlike what the New Age crowd likes to say (all sickness is caused by bad thoughts" yada yada). So people meditating often find they have to start wearing more clothes, protect their heads by wearing a hat, and so forth (except for some individuals that live in particular weather regions, such as Southern India, which is why some masters even learn to cultivate without much clothes) .

Protecting yourself from wind invasions is especially important during and after sexual relations, too. As I relate in the Sexual Cultivation Cd, do NOT drink cold things or expose yourself in front of a draft or air conditioner just prior to, during and after sex for just such reasons. For regular people you’ll probably feel nothing (even if you experience a wind invasion) — for meditators you’ll probably catch a cold or get a headache and feel it the next day or within a week or so. It can even cause more serious illnesses. Once again, look up Chinese medicine if you want to find out more.

And yes, you can be enlightened and die of cancer. You can also get rid of it if you want, or let past karma manifest. You can read the story of Maharaj (a Hindu samadhi master) where he rejuvenated himself with kaya kalpa two times but just let cancer take him the third time. Same with various other Hindu and other masters. When it’s time, it’s time. So Buddha’s foremost student in superpowers, Mahamaudgalyayana, had his skull cracked open and was dying but used his superpowers to heal himself, taught one more lesson to a village expecting him, came back to Buddha, said it was time to go, and then passed away. Then again, if you put yourself in the third-fourth dhyana, you can get rid of all sickness if you want, too. Mahamaudgalyayana proved that and there is lots of information available on this.

Now is there a way to open up the chi channels in the head quicker if you do start to feel pressure there because of cultivation work?

First, congratulations on your progress! Second, there is some Chinese medicine available for this and too many wind-caused-dreams, but it tastes yucky, doesn’t work too well (as far as I’m concerned) and the best solution is more meditation anyway. The more the chi goes through because of emptiness meditation of letting go, the less problems there are. It takes time – congratulations on the progress.

If the problem is caused by the bones being out of proper position in the neck, there’s chiropractic manipulations. Those cant get the Atlas bone fully in the proper position, whereas NCR (neural cranial restructuring) possibly can and has been known to get rid of long term migraines in as little as 4 sessions. Then again, magnesium deficiency and other things could be causing headaches, too.

So the answer is: it’s complicated to discuss things like this. So many possibilities are involved. You can’ t do it over the phone, you can’t do in a letter or email. You have to see the person, know their stage of cultivation, know medicine, know all sorts of things. It’s even more complicated than I laid out with this brief synopsis. That’s why I tell you you have to study everything. In life you end up picking up these wisdom rules naturally (without study) from cultural rules /traditions handed down in society  (like the Chinese rule never to eat duck or goose when you have a cold or flu, and to eat ginger with crab because otherwise it’s too yin-cold for the body), but they only take hold after people study them and start writing about them.

Where to go for basic principles about cultivation and the body?

Tao and Longevity.  It’s probably about $10-15 on amazon. I always tell people that if you think you know meditation or spiritual cultivation and you don’t know the basic material in this book, then you don’t know anything. Really. I hate the translation, but what can you do since the material is invaluable and doesn’t even appear in yoga texts?

Top 10 Anti-Aging Foods and Supplements

What foods do you eat to live longer?

I cover this in Meditation for Beautiful Skin, but here’s a short addition to that ebook (which contains several  meditation techniques with instructions).

Dr. David Williams cracked one of the secrets when he realized that most of the miracle foods touted for health claims and antiaging effects  - the top 10 are spirulina, chlorella, brewer’s yeast, lentils and most beans, oysters, animal liver, sardines, anchovies and mackerel – were either nutrient dense or foods with an extremely high concentrations of nucleotides.

Nucleotides are the building blocks or sub-unit molecules that make up RNA and DNA, which carry your genetic code. Nucleotides also carry out several essential functions needed for cell replication and perform the following functions in your body:

* Neutralize toxins
* Increase cellular metabolism
* Increase the production of cellular energy
* Improve the response and efficiency of the immune system
* Enhance the effects of antioxidants
* Increase the body’s ability to heal and repair itself

The just cited "miracle" foods are so useful in treating cancer, anti-aging and cellular repair — and have achieved fantastic reputations over the years as cures in themselves (especially chlorella, spirulina, Brewer’s yeast, and liver) – precisely because they supply highly absorbable amounts of nucleotides for cellular repair.

When I worked in a health food store in the 70’s, I can remember all the hype about these foods when they came out in supplement form  (along with wheat germ, natural honey and  bee pollen), and now I know why they work  so well.

Juicing creates the same sort of high density nutrients in highly absorbable form, which is why juicing eventually produces beautiful skin and why physicians tell me that the women who juice a lot tend to look years younger than their peers. Doctors always seem to notice this and tell me about it, yet juicing is troublesome for a lot of people (it’s too cold for their bodies or too expensive) and cleaning those juicers is a hassle.

Therefore,  you might  consider eating more of these other anti-aging foods in the diet because they will also contribute to creating healthy cells and cellular repair, i.e. anti-aging benefits. You’re giving your body foods that are already reduced to the most absorbable form possible, which is why they work. AFter all, as we get older, our digestive and absorptive abilities decrease.

So if you want to encourage RNA/DNA repair that makes you fit and trim, include foods in your diet that contain abundant levels — and I mean really abundant levels — of nucleotides since they are the building blocks from which your body builds DNA and RNA.

So what are some of the best supplements along these lines?

1) Yeast – EpiCor

2) Green powders – almost any will do (Emerald Greens, Greens+, ProGreens, etc.) … I suggest rotating them rather than settling on just one green powder. And you can save money by avoiding expensive brand names. The key is to buy powders that are fresh and have multiple ingredients.

A related useful product — StemTech Health (888-783-6832) makes a super-great stem cell enhancing  product which I highly recommend called Stem Enhance; I had to become a distributor to buy itcheaply for friends who all rave about it.  It’s a patented extract of Klamath Lake blue-green algae and is designed by stem cell research scientists to increase the circulating blood levels of adult stem cells which help repair the body where you need it.

Other algae, spirulina, and chlorella products are great, too. Why? Because the products are  easily digestible and thus highly absorbable.

Incidentally, this is why wheat / gluten flour products make you fat so quickly. You grind wheat grains up into tiny pieces, which we buy as wheat flour, bake that fine grain wheat flour into products, and when you digest that wheat flour food, the small particles are so small (already pre-ground) that they don’t need much digestion but are easily / rapidly turned into sugar (glucose) in the body, spiking your blood sugar, and easily get stored as fat. That’s why taking people off grains (flour, gluten products) almost always causes them to lose weight. Some people are allergic to grains as well.

3) Bragg’s liquid amino acids – same story – the amino acids are sold in a form readily available for digestion and absorption.

4) Dr. Julian Whitaker just wrote about Aminocare, which contains amino acid derivatives and helps prevent cancer. I don’t have any experience with this product and will have to check it out. I spend hundreds if not thousands every year checking out new supplements and letting you know so you don’t have to watse your own money. Most never pass…

Of course I could report on all sorts of other anti-aging foods, techniques and methods – Linus Pauling’s daily 8 grams of vitamin C with proline/lysine cofactors, individuals eating a handful of pancreatic enzymes on a daily basis, carnosine supplements, resveratrol, he she wu and so forth.

Basically, it seems one of  the keys is ease of absorbability of nutrient dense foods. Perhaps that’s why SeaCure, the predigested fish protein, is so beneficial to cancer patients and helps them avoid bad reactions to chemotherapy. Nutrient dense, highly absorbable food.

So for yeast – EpiCor.

For greens – any good green powder you like…. and think about StemEnhance for the stem cell rejuvenating effects (you’ll usually feel a slight ephoria or uplift for about 4-6 months after starting on it).

For amino acids – Braggs, aminocare, etc.

Fish? Anchovies, mackerel (great brain food) and sardines…. and of course, liver.

Z-Health Gets 5 Stars, and the Thumbs Up as an Exercise Plan

When the first Zen master to China, Bodhidharma, observed the monks at Shaolin temple, he found them all weak and unable to defend themselves because of lack of exercise. Thus he taught them tendon stretching exercises, and the beginning of kung-fu. If all you do is meditate, you’ll still have problems if you don’t stretch or exercise, but as we all know, it’s a pain. So what do you do?

I’m always looking for the best of the best, and in terms of a quick exercise plan for joint mobility that will

1) help you eliminate pain and

2) attain full range of motion in ALL your joints, and works your entire body without having you break a sweat

3) which is based on studying the athletic performance of superstar athletes,

4) which only takes 10 minutes per day – incredible but true!!!

5) and basically smoothes the whole chi of your body so that sexual desire will not bother you so much (if you’re cultivating),

I recommend Z-health. In just days you’ll see a tremendous improvement with this 10 minute routine per day that doesn’t involve lifting weights, running or anything more strenuous other than flexing your joints, in a standing position, 3 times each way.

Incredible results. The best of the best. I recommend this for all cultivators, or for parents who want their children to excel in sports. These routines are the basis of Olympic results.

In India we have yoga muscle work. China has Tai chi and kung-fu exercises and its own form of bonesetting. Russia has its own form of exercise yet different than these (see the work of Sonnon and Pavel Tsatsouline). And int he  West we have our own peculiar forms of bodywork (Rolfing, IMT, Barnes method, visceral massage, lymph drainage, strain-counterstrain, etc.) and athletic peak performance studies … and now Zhealth.

If you are a cultivator fighting sexual desire, one of the problems is often that your chi is not evenly balanced or smooth. This can help you eliminate or reduce the problem when it bothers you, and it only takes 10 minutes. Finally, something that can help all the men who write me for advice. For that alone it’s a Godsend, but the results of correcting mobility problems from working at the computer, past accidents and so forth is incredible.

Check it out…

A Mantra for Better Memory from Shingon

Kukai, the great master of Shingon, which is the Japanese esoteric school, used to recite the following mantra over and over again to help with his memory. Many attribute his great genius to his constant repetition (over a 1,000,000 times every 100 days) of this mantra:

"Namo Âkâsagarbhaya om ârya kamari mauli svâhâ."

Why not try it and see the result? That’s how you work with mantras…approach them with reverence, respect and discipline in application, and the results come.

The meaning of this mantra can roughly be translated as ‘Hail to the Empty Space Treasury," and we have just covered the meditation techniques for the infinite space samadhi (formless absorption) in another blog post in case you missed it.

As to other means for helping the memory as you get older, I could go into lots of nutritional supplements, especially PS (phosphatidyl serine) and PhosChol, but I’m excited about a website I’ve just found offering a variety of anti-aging supplements and pharmaceuticals along these lines. You might find something of use to family members, or yourself, at Anti-Aging Systems

Check it out! Anti-Aging Systems

Mental Illness, The Plague of this Century

I was coming back from a trip and during a 5 hour airport delay, struck up a conversation with a psychologist-psychiatrist husband and wife team. Both were from South America, and were coming back from a trip on Mayan archaeology.

The psychologist wife confided in me, "I believe that more and more people are becoming crazy in society. I can actually see it. It seems the sane ones are the ones coming to me for office visits, and the number of insane, and mentally ill people around them is increasing."

"Why?", I asked…."Stress, change too quickly, responsibilities, pace of life, consumerism, pressure, what?"

All of the above was her response.

And you know, my Zen master told me the same thing. A few things he always predicted:

One – 50 years ago he said the US would only be the "numero uno" country and respected world leader for 50 nore years, and that time is over now. After that, he said, it would lose its preeminence.  He correctly predicted the decline of Taiwan, WHEN IT WAS AT ITS PEAK, andno one believed him in that either. And when he predicted he’d build a railroad in CHina and put it on the stock market, when China was still COmmunist and lacking any sort of capital markets, people just laughed. NAturally, he did it.
Second – marriage would all but disappear by the end of this century, and that’s happening already.
Third, the Chinese language would become world spoken and you would be considered second class if you didn’t speak it. With the rise of China, and his prediction of 180 years of upwards fortune, that seems right.
And fourth – not cancer, but mental illness would become like a plague for this century. People would avoid others because of the fea rof mental illness.

Already you can see it. After having visited South America and returned to the US, it’s easy to see how the pressure to make a living in a competitive market, with capitalism leading to job losses, outsourcing, and so forth, and the focus on debt-consumerism and ever speeding up pace of society is leading to stresses never seen before and mental illness. It isn’t seen as mental illness because people still function, but their mind is definitely unbalanced, or  "off".

Example: Sub-cultures are springing up around the X-box and Playstation where adults escape society and the world and care only about virtual reality, as just one instance. I’m not talking about good old fashioned fun and play but fanatical, extreme, mental deviations that constitute an illness.

It’s happening slowly. The health or wellness of a country cannot be measured in terms of productivity or GNP increases anymore. It must be measured in terms of life quality, including free time, and  life enjoyment. The French have something there.  South Americans do, too.The Chinese have learned how to mix the social with business to create some release valves, too, and make the pace more bearable.

Think about it. More productivity only means more devices/equipment/processes that only lead  to more demands on you and your personal time.

Examples:

A word processer? You lose your secretary. A computer? Book your own tickets… The result? More stress, more demands for speed, a decline in the  quality of life, a crazy mind and no time to rest. And globalism is accelerating that even more, making the stresses unbearable. Is it cheaper to do it over there in that country? Then let’s get rid of these jobs here….

The end result — more types of mental illness, more stress, more panic, more depression  – the walking functional mentally ill. I’m not talking about Parkinsons, Alzheimers or conditions like that, which will certainly increase (another fallacy there — live longer by extending your life and you still have quality life). I’m talking about mental illnesses, dream state living, the 5 errant perspectives of Buddhism, depression and so forth.

Buddhism is a cure with its teachings  on detachment. So is Shintoism with its teaching son simplicyt and natural living. Meditation is key.

The cure — wisdom, meditation, cleaner living, simpler living. You can do a lot bydetoxing your body for one thing, as those extra chemical burdens that build up aren’t helping matters. And meditation, for sure. That goes without saying. And not being exposed or falling in for all sorts of society group-think craziness issues. But to go into those would take forever.

It seems inescapable, but you can do some things.

How?

Turn off TV. Read. De-stress. Meditate by detaching from thoughts, your body, and impulses or emotions or forces that would impel you. Support your environment so that what you see around you is pristine nature, which allows you to breathe and relax even more. Spend quality time with the family, slow quality time where you talk. Get off the consumerism bandwagon. STops believing authroities who don’t have a clue and don’t have YOUR best interests at heart — tat’s one caus efor depression.

The real cure for this is CULTURE. Not superficial buy this an be entertained or distracted, but deep, slow C U L T U R E. That’s what I’m devoted to helping develop.

More later…

Electrify Your Lyme Disease and Watch Your Symptoms Disappear

One of my high tech friends, who I greatly respect, caught Lyme disease. Not just ordinary Lyme disease, "super Lyme" with an 8 inch tick bite circle. His doctor said he beleives he caught all eight strains of the disease!

In the course of trying out all sorts of cures, he was introduced to the Vibe machine, an EXPENSIVE piece of equipment that puts out an electromagnetic field that supposedly helps with healing. He rented the device for a few days and exposed himself to the EMF and sure enough, his symptoms abated.

He looked at the device, and being an electrical engineer who used to build satellite magnetics and power systems for RCA, realized that it was just a Tesla Coil with tubes of noble gases on top. They were just extra flashy bells and whistles that weren’t needed, in is opinion, and acted simply as an antenna discharge. Forget all that stuff about noble gas radiations, he mused…

So off he went to ebay where he found JM Labs and Teslacoil.net which produce the SSTC-3.7, what he considered a cheap $600 equivalent to the VIBE. Presto! After exposing himself for 10 seconds a day (the machine won’t run for a long time or the power transistors will burn out) then sure enough, his Lyme suymptoms disappear for a week.

Every time!

So my friend is discussing his finding with the owner of a gigantic Tesla coil demonstration unit that is so big that it fits only in the back of a pickup truck. This buddy drives around to schools and uses it to demonstrate Tesla coils, his expertise. His friend listened quietly  and then said, "I have Lyme. I never noticed it but you’re right. After I turn on this deivce and expose myself during a school demonstration, my symptoms disappear for about a week as well."

Interesting….

Not a cure, but for $600, worth a try to those who are suffering and have the money to investigate. I’d love one of those units just for fun.

You’d never hear this story from the medical establishment, that’s for sure. As my friend David Getoff says, "Be skeptical but open to try new things. Open, but skeptical. That’s how breakthroughs are made."

Hope that helps….

Mental Health and Meditation, FDA suicide warnings

The FDA has finally proposed that antidepressant medication manufacturers should update their  product labels with information about increased risks of suicidal thinking and behavior in young adults.

The big secret that the press has avoided, especially with the tragedy at Virginia Tech, is that the MAJORITY of student suicides and shootings over the last few years can be linked to antidepressant usage. I’m pissed at this fact because I’ve known this for years — lots of radio shows and books have been written about this connection — and yet the press keeps skirting around the issue. It makes me wonder whether lobbying and advertising dollars are warping people’s judgements.

In other words, the students did not shoot others because they were depressed. Rather, various books  and countless other evidence have been amassed linking the use of antidepressants to the generation of various emotions (dehumanizing of human beings, etc.) that have actually led to the shootings! So once again the press is fixating on the wrong issues. Not gun control, or the status of mental health screening in the US, but the use of antidepressants seems to be the common killer.

My own teacher constantly said that mental health will be the Big problem of this century. Not cancer, he sadi, but mental health problems will become an epidemic. So once again, we have to start looking for causes and cures. As to causes, we could cite many contributing factors — increased stresses of life, increase in thinking demands, the increase in fantasy promotions via the TV or internet, poisons in our environment, whatever. Everything contributes so who can say there is a singular cause of this trend?

As to the cure, well one part of the equation should definitely include meditation, because it is THE cure for mental health problems. Think about it. If you learn to let go of thoughts, and in particular the thoughts that bother you or propel you to do things you shouldn’t, you become mentally purified. Well guess what does that?

Meditation.

Knee Pain and Back Pain Cures

Many people who cultivate come from the field of martial arts, and suffer knee problems from having over-extended their joints from too much kicking.

As to back pain, well just about everyone complains about  it.

Naturally you know about going to a chiropractor to fix joint pains, but there are some other bodywork therapies you can try.

The best therapy I ever came across for eliminating back pain was fixing the knee joint, which I saw done by a famous doctor in Hong Kong. You can find the articles describing this on the site. People would come from all over the world, he’d reset their knee joint and presto — they could bend and touch their toes, TMJ would disappear, and back pain would be gone … INSTANTLY!

Another lesser known therapy that sometimes helps is NCR, by Dr. Dean Howell, which you can also find on the web. A number of people have been trained in his techniques, and it’s done wonders for my own tailbone problems which originated from having been hit by a car when young.  Dozens of chiropractors and body workers over the years have not been able to help that section of my anatomy because of the jamming that had been done, but when the sphenoid bone in the skull was moved due to the NCR techniques, an untwisting the spine occurred which progressively fixed the tailbone. This can also be a miracle therapy for those who need it.

There’s also prolotherapy for the knee, which involves injecting the knee joint with a variety of healing substances that will help it regenerate tendons and cartilage. Many doctors offer prolotherpay, and the key is to find someone with lots of experience. Just because a doctor can do something doesn’t mean he’s very skilled at it.

Remember Bill’s 80-20 rule when dealing with ALL types of professionals: 80% aren’t anything special, only 20% are pretty good and the ones you’d bother to recommend to friends, and perhaps 3-5% are exceptional. Only 1-3% are outstanding. Doctors, lawyers, dentists, accountants, astrologers, martial arts teachers, chiropractors, massage therapists, dry cleaners, nutritionists, you name — they all follow this rule. So choose a bodyworker, doctor, chiropractor or some other health professional CAREFULLY.  It’s better to spend more money and get it done right than spend less and get no result at all.

Bodywork and massage also sometimes helps, but who do you go to? I always tell people to buy this $7 manual of practitioners throughout the US … just look up your area code, then city and then scan all the names of all the bodyworkers in your area. Those with the most number of certifications and courses listed that they’ve taken — those I’d try first.

What’s that book called? "The International Association of Healthcare Practitioners Directory." This is something you buy, keep in the house for years, and use to help all your family and friends. Every year I refer to it to help friends in various cities find a good body worker who might help them. The IMT therapies of bodywork, invented by Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo, also deal with healing "bone bruises," which even help with the pain felt by amputees who have lost limbs.

As to nutritional supplements, well we could spend days discussing what might or might not work. It all depends on the situation. So today’s focus has been on bodywork, because your want to fix any STRUCTURE that’s out of place before trying to eliminate any pain originating from  misplaced bones. Fix the problem, go to the source.

Of course, you can always try the famous skeleton meditation for bone pain — imaging your bones as shining silver or white in the area of the pain. That will send chi to the area and help with healing.

Lastly there is a meditation method my teacher taught me for resetting the chi of your bones when they hurt, or for helping to move your bones into new places. You learn how to grab on to the chi or etheric structure of your bones  and then push this chi structure into a more favorable location. This bone setting is actually a meditation method and few can learn it unless they already have some stage of kung-fu, but it’s something for you to know about as well.

As to your knees hurting when you sit cross-legged and first start to meditate? Well, you just have to work through it. It’s like burning up Hell karma, so abandon any attachment to your body and let go when it arises. That in itself is meditation again.

Hope that helps — a variety of therapies for bone pain that your doctor never told you about, and probably never will.

Get well!
