A Japanese publisher recently contacted me wanting the rights to republish my Radiation Detox book in Japanese. They said they wanted two years to translate and put the book into print.

“That’s not going to help anybody,” I said. “People in Japan need the information right now if it’s going to help at all and save lives.” Here’s an example article as to why:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/vivian-norris-de-montaigu/deadly-silence-on-fukushi_b_859241.html

Such a strange, slow schedule for wanting to translate and then print up a 124-page book when a county is in jeopardy and needs that very information. Seems a very stupid way to make money for a publisher, too, and almost a way to delay information rather than act in the spirit of helpfulness. It can be translated in about 2 weeks, so why a 2 year delay?

The prospective deal was quashed.

I told the company’s representative that I had already given my blessing and permission for some other Japanese parties to translate, print up and disseminate for free whatever sections of the book they would like in order to help the people, and they were going to do so within a three week period. So let this blog post be official notice that if you also wish to translate the materials into Japanese and do the same, you have the rights and my full permission to translate whatever sections of this book you feel worthwhile (please edit it), as long as you do the normal references to the source. And if you can improve it, please do so. If you want to do the whole thing, please do so. I dopn’t want any monies from it. Obviously the idea of letting a large publisher handle it to get the information out failed, so it’s up to you.

I wrote this book for emergencies just like this (and worse) because no one else was thinking ahead to answer the most improtant question, WHAT DO WE DO IF THIS HAPPENS, and so had not done anything. Already it has been used as the basis for even better materials to come out, which was the plan. So please translate it and publish it in Japan to help the nation. The Japanese language rights are free and herbey granted to anyone who wants to do anything with it to help the people.

Where is the book? People seem to be passing around the wrong link even though it’s on the front of our site in the navigation, on the products page and in the blog. The link is

First a word about the terrible tsunami and nuclear power plant disaster in Japan. Yes, as predicted so many people downloaded my free “Radiation Detox” ebook, that I wrote years ago in case something like this (or worse) would ever happen, that my server crashed and bandwidth was used up. Therefore I moved it to my meditation site server which has lots of available bandwidth capacity. In case you still want the information, you can now download it and see the whole story behind its creation at

http://www.MeditationExpert.com/RadiationDetox/

Yes, you can pass around that link and post on Facebook, twitter it and so on. The server can handle it.

It is silly how many in the US are losing their heads over this problem and buying all sorts of emergency products when they are not at risk. The lack of common sense is astounding. I always say that it is had to teach the dharma to people who lack common sense in that if they get common sense things wrong, how can they understand higher spiritual matters. But alas, that is the fate of human beings.

This catastrophe is why I have to say once again that we need many more seed banks placed everywhere in the world. Yes, MULTIPLE SEED BANKS, one of my improtant issues.

The insufficient number of these is another MAJOR oversight by those who should be thinking of the future. If there is ever a major war it is seeds that the armies will want to grab and take home after all is over. After all, life has to return to normal and without agricultural capabilities you will be in trouble.

When the Russians entered Berlin at the end of WWII do you know what they went after with haste?

They went after the Gestapo files so that they could have the dirt on important people. That was a top priority. Invading armies always go after the secret police files first so they can find who was a collaborator, who did what, etc. and can then use that information in the future to blackmail important people (in the government and society) after all dust settles again.

You probably didn’t know that because you were not trained to think this way, and that’s why it escapes people that seeds would be ultra-important after a major nuclear disaster, such as war. The big prize would be non-contaminated, pristine non-GMO seeds, and so we need to sponsor many seed banks all over the world to protect from future catastrophes. Our politicians the world over like to think they are statesmen and spend mega-billions to keep each country at the military forefront (which definitely should be an objective) but hardly any of these individuals steps forward and demands that we spend $20-30 million on a few seed banks to preserve the future.

I don’t want people waking up to this after it’s too late, so once again I have to stand up and issue the warning yet again. I’m nobody, but I have to say it because maybe you’re a somebody who I can reach, so you need to think about these issues.

Do not leave our agricultural future of seed heritages in the hands of purely profit motivated firms like Monsanto because their actions will, as did the banks, end up leading to future agricultural disasters when the right perfect storm hits, and it will in time. Easy to see, easy to predict, easy to prevent but I doubt the statesmen will reign in what needs to be done.

In Buddhism there is something called “Right Livelihood,” or a virtuous work livelihood. A friend wrote me that he was making a presentation in Germany on right livelihood and needed a quote. I told him most people do not understand this. Soldiers fighting a war to protect their country, for instance, are practicing right livelihood even though most people hear “soldier” and think of the killing, and then think otherwise. Wrong, all countries need to be protected. A strong and capable military is not just necessary but an honorable calling.

Now consider case #2. A banker who starts initiating mortgage loans to the unqualified and starts selling those bad mortgage loans to others, justifying the lapse in high credit standards by saying to himself it will all wash out in the averages, is just cheating himself and not practicing right livelihood. You hear “banker” and immediately think “right livelihood,” but no – a man is defined by his actions, and the wrong motives and actions with foresight negate the label.

So similarly, decisions on the future of agriculture must be made on what is best for the people, and not what maximizes profits. It is now in the hands of people without foresight, and in the hands of “errant men of business” who have all sorts of excuses for their actions, but of whom 60 Minutes will have a field day and we will all suffer when a catastrophe strikes (such as the 5000 farmers in India who committed suicide due to the failure of their GMO seeds – this reminds me of the Nestle baby formula trajedy where thousands died because of unscrupulous marketing practices).

Yes, I know this sort of effort at agricultrual control is in league with national strategic hegemony plans, but they are playing it wrong. If this trend does not stop, the catastrophe from terminator seeds and the like will be bigger than the banking crisis. I kid you not. So, we need more seed banks and a rethink of who’s controlling our agricultural future and if the actions being allowed are in the best interests of the people. If not the results can be fatal for the public. But I digress.

Alright, enough of my “high on my horse” preaching … why the email? Because I wanted to send you another FREE gift. Someone sent me a 20+ year old video of Master Nan performing the 9-bottled wind on Youtube, so I’m sending you there so you can see the hand movements and body posture. I describe this practice in my books and articles, but you need a video to see it performed. This is the best overall pranayama technique I have ever found, and other pranayama experts tell me is the best they have tried, too.

Yes, I know the video is in Chinese language. Just ignore the Chinese language and WATCH for the posture and hand positions, and then go look up the descriptions which are too long for this email. The description of the practice is found in Twenty Five Doors and in many of our articles and publications. The video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqmTqJgkFEI&feature=related

By the way, if you watch a lot of videos for work or fun, what I’m about to tell you will change your life. Go buy a copy of Enounce MYSpeed which can speed up video viewing viewing time by 3X and cut the amount of time you have to spend watching important lessons. This will transform your life. Absolutely. You can find it here.

http://www.enounce.com/

Enjoy the Free Gifts, and remember that to succeed in cultivation you need to exercise your WISDOM. Spiritual cultivation is not about sitting in a cave somewhere meditating in solitude but also about stepping out and making efforts to do what is right for society, not what is profitable, and your efforts do matter

The multiple reactor problems in Japan after the tsunami – the risk of a meltdown
and contaminants spreading everywhere – have prompted me to write. I once wrote a
book, “Help Support Your Body’s Healing After Intense Radioactive or Radiation
Exposure” for exactly this and other radiation type emergencies. It’s totally free,
I’ve never made any money off it, and is designed to review the information about
what people have done after severe radiation exposure or exposure to radioactive
contaminants. Basically, they go on special diets heavy in sea vegetables to bind
any contaminants they ingest.

The book is at http://www.meditationexpert.com/RadiationDetoxDraft.pdf .

You canreadthe whole story behind it at:

MeditationResearch.com/RadiationDetox/

Why this book? What’s in it?

It occured to me that in case of a nuclear power plant problem (which seems to
happen every few years), or dirty bomb or nuclear war or anything else, people
should know what to do to protect themselves after something happens. The countries
of the world spend hundreds of millions of dollars on nuclear weapons and deterrence every year, and have giant organizations organizd around these issues, but spend virtually nothing on research as to what the population should do if they are
exposed to these things. Strange with all the money available and size of personnel
involved in the overall apparatus.

There’s nothing substantial out there except the normal “take potassium iodide”
information. Nothing, zippo, nada except stuff like “stay away from the windows” and “stay indoors and keep the house sealed as much as possible. Drink bottled water, stay away from milk and garden produce.” What about exposure?

It’s sort of an oversight to spend this gargantuan amount of money on everything except what you need to know just in case all this stuff happens, which they spend millions to prevent, so I took it upon myself to make an offering by taking a few years to collect any and all public information I could find on what to do for most types of radiation exposures and put it together in a book for humanity. I’m a nobody in the world but there it is. Send it to who needs it. It’s best if you download it and send it because every time this happens the server breaks down because of bandwidth usage from so many downloads. So download it and send it yourself in your own email, and preserve my bandwidth so someone else who needs it can get the information.

Everyone knows that the government will tell them to take potassium iodide in the
case of a nuclear plant emergency, so I didn’t need to cover that. But what did
people exactly do in a case of a Chernobyl or Nagasaki?

Here are some tidbits from the book, which I never bothered to clean up and make
pretty …

At the time of the atomic bombing of Japan, Tatsuichiro Akizuki, M.D. was Director
of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis’s Hospital in Nagasaki and fed
his staff and patients a strict diet of brown rice, miso and tamari soy soup,
wakame, kombu and other seaweed, Hokkaido pumpkin, and sea salt and prohibited the
consumption of sugar and sweets. Sugars and sweets were forbidden because they
suppress the immune system! Because of this diet — which was rich in sea vegetables
– he saved everyone in his hospital while many other survivors perished from the
radiation sickness. (Tatsuichiro Akuziki, M.D. Nagasaki 1945, London Quarter books,
1981).

So after the Nagasaki bombing, people who ate a strict macrobiotic diet — including
brown rice and miso soup with sea vegetables — did not suffer from radiation
poisoning even though they were within a mile of the explosion. The high iodine
content of their diet may have been extremely helpful on this account because if
proper amounts of natural “healthy” iodine already exist in the thyroid gland, then
it cannot absorb any other forms of iodine, such as the radioactive iodine
contaminant.

Also,…

In 1968 a group of Canadian researchers at McGill University of Montreal, headed by
Dr. Stanley Skoryna, studied the question as to whether seaweed could help rid the
body of radioactive toxins (Skoryna S.C. et al, “Intestinal Absorption of
Radioactive Strontium,” Canadian Medical Association Journal 191: 285-88, 1964). Dr.
Skoryna and his team were trying to devise a method to counteract the effects of
nuclear fallout and reported that sodium alginate from brown algae “permitted
calcium to be normally absorbed through the intestinal wall while binding most of
the strontium. The sodium alginate and strontium was subsequently excreted from the
body. The experiments were designed to devise a method to counteract the effects of
nuclear fallout and radiation.”

The key finding of this study was identifying that sea vegetables contained a
polysaccharide substance — called sodium alginate which is present in large
quantities in brown algae such as Laminarae (kelp), Fucus (bladderwrack) and
Ascophyllum (fertilizer seaweed) — that selectively bound radioactive strontium and
eliminated it from the body.

It turns out that in case after case, researchers ended up using heavy metal
chelators and sea vegetables, like kelp or algae, to bind the heavy radioactive
contaminants people ingested, and kept people on diets that did not suppress their
immune systems to see protection and recovery. An important function of the sea
vegetables in helping our bodies fight radiation poisoning is the fact that they
contain Iodine-127 which will be absorbed by our thyroid and thus prevent the uptake
of radioactive, toxic Iodine-131.

What is the best chelator for the heavy radioactive contaminants? Some will say
kelp, some chlorella, some spirulina and some will say “Modifilan” because of its
multiple benefits (Modifilan is the one I like best). In any case, you can read the
book. It’s nothing special except information you need to know in cases like this. I
simply wrote it as an offering therefore I have to write to let you know it’s there
and you can send it to those who are worried or might need the info.

Someone asked me a funny question the other day, “What do Buddhas eat?”

Now this is a funny question because Buddhas are people just like you and me who have simply awakened, and as a result the question is basically, “What do enlightened people eat?”

The answer is: “Anything they want.”

Let’s go into this a little more deeply because I’m sure you were expecting the answer to involve veganism or vegetarianism. If you are a person devoted to spiritual cultivation, what you consume depends upon your needs and the circumstances and purposes. That’s the first thing to consider. Compassion is also a major factor in choosing what to eat, but if you’re adrift on the high seas and only fish are available to keep you alive, you must choose whether you willing to die in place of the fish. It all comes down to your wisdom and your circumstances.

In the first years of Buddhism, it’s surprising to know that the Buddhist monks weren’t perfectly vegetarian but ate whatever food was offered to them unless it was meat from an animal that was specifically killed for them. If that was the case, or if they were asked to select the animal to be slaughtered, they were forbidden to eat it. In Tibet today, many Tibetan monks are also not strictly vegetarian either but eat whatever is offered. In China, however, with a history of plentiful vegetarian food because of the monastic system, the rule of vegetarianism was enforced for all monks.

But consider this: the famous meditation adept Milarepa only attained his enlightenment after ending a near starvation diet by drinking some beer and eating some meat supplied by his friends. As he found out, if you don’t eat the right food to keep up your strength, it is hard to succeed at spiritual cultivation. Even Buddha was not able to succeed in attaining enlightenment until his health, damaged by severe asceticism, was restored to normal after eating some rice gruel or porridge. I also know of a great Zen master who ate only one small vegetarian meal a day at noon and also found that it did not supply him with enough energy for his cultivation efforts, and so he started eating meat again, although in limited portions, to restore his health and cultivation efforts. It comes down to what you need in conjunction with what you think is right and proper.

And this is one of the main factors to consider – that less meat is certainly better than more, but none may not be enough, especially if you are subsisting on the wrong type of carbohydrates in a vegetarian diet. Many monks in China eat too much tofu and soybeans and as a result, pancreatic cancer and diabetes is quite prevalent due to their diets. In America many vegetarians eat far too much sugar and wheat and destroy their health in the process, too. Meat protein may be warranted, but with today’s hormone laden food, even this decision is questionable.

Then again, it’s a rule in Buddhism that if you are sick and need to eat meat to recover, it is considered a breach of discipline to refuse that medicine though you may want to keep the purity of vegetarianism in play. Once again, it comes down to what’s necessary to help one stay healthy and thus able to succeed in their cultivation. In Orthodox Judaism, a similar rule holds that if you refuse non-kosher food that’s part of the medical prescription for getting well, it is also a breach of discipline to refuse it.

So what do you eat to stay healthy and succeed in spiritual cultivation? What is the best diet for you and for people in general? No one can say with authority, although many would like to– it’s dependent upon you and your genes, your efforts, your circumstances and how you feel with the diet you choose. Many people say they feel cleaner on a vegetarian diet, and that meat weighs them down and clouds their mind, and that they are healthier as vegetarians or vegans than as meat eaters. For such sensitive people, they’ve already determined what’s best for themselves.

Then again, one thing I can mention is that many naturopaths and nutritionists have told me that when strict vegetarians get sick, in many cases it’s almost impossible to cure them if they don’t start eating some animal protein again. The famous Edgar Cayce recommended fish, then poultry, then lamb and beef in this ascending order if one were to eat meat as a source of protein. Pork is universally recognized as one of the worst meats across all traditions. And as to what vegetables are good for people, you have to first rule out if you are allergic or have a sub-clinical sensitivity to it. Just because it’s a vegetable doesn’t mean it’s good for you!

Many people are sensitive to foods but don’t know it because their vitality is strong, but as they get older and their immune system declines those foods start producing symptoms that were previously masked by robustness. So what may seem like a vegetarian “safe food” may actually be doing harm to your body. If someone gets cancer, one of the first things to do is find those food offenders through a blood test and then strictly rule them out of the diet, vegetarian or not. With today’s GMO foods, this rule is more important than ever as many people are allergic to GMO crops.

The question as to whether you should eat meat or not is really up to you from considering your circumstances and the effect that it brings. It’s a matter of balance, necessity and compassion. So what do enlightened beings eat? Whatever they choose to eat because of their vows and circumstances.

I always recommend the Tibetan 9-bottled wind practice for cultivators. It involves holding your breath for as long as possible and is an assist to cultivation in the early stages of the path.

Well the world record holder’s method for holding their breath — shown here doing so for nearly 17 minutes under water in front of Oprah — explains his method of khumbhaka to Oprah and the audience.

http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2009/10/30/how-to-hold-your-breath/

Pay attention to the fact that at the end when he cannot hold any longer, he says he practices a type of emptiness meditation.

That’s the key — letting go of both mind and body. He looks extremely healthy and well balanced, just like a martial artist, because he has somewhat opened up his channels. Practicing emptiness meditation would in all likelihood change his appearance to an even lighter complexion over time.

Here are his steps though you can read more on the blog post.

The Steps:

1:30 deep breathing
1:15 purging (if you feel like you’re going to pass out, do it less intensely)

Hold breath for target 1:30, no more
After 1:30:
Take 3 semi-purge breaths

1:30 deep breathing
1:30 purging

Hold breath for target 2:30, no more
After 2:30
Take 3 semi-purge breaths

2:00 deep breathing
1:45 purging

Hold breath for as long as possible
After exhalation:
Take 3-10 hard semi-purge breaths until your recover

The BP oil well will probably keep spilling for another few months simply because it happened before, and it took 8 months to fix the problem … in shallower water with the same techniques they’re trying today.

The Times has just presented an article on the declining age of puberty:

Puberty Article

In the 1800’s puberty for girls and boys was around 15 and 17 years of age, respectively.

In the 1960’s, the ages were determined to be around 12 for girls and 14 for boys. These are the ages that girls first start getting their period, and the age when the voices of boys start to break and they experience a growth spurt.

The new findings are that girls are starting puberty, including breast development, at age 9 (9 years and 10 months on average, which is a full one year ealier than the last time the study was done about 15 years ago). Many boys drop out of choir in England because their voices are now breaking at around ages 11-12!

Some people say this is because of hormone-like substances in the food chain (I agree), and others simply because of a better diet.

It’s interesting to note that over 2,000 years Shakyamuni Buddha foretold, through samadhi insight, that the age of puberty for women would eventually drop to around 5 years of age for this world. He also said that in the far future the world would become so toxic and polluted that almost any item could be used to kill/harm another person, and the Gulf Oil spill illustrates how we are slowly heading in that direction. Amazing predictions from 2,000+ years ago, especially when you consider the environmental circumstances of that era.

I’ve often sat in my room trying to brainstorm ways to get rid of that giant floating island of plastic the size of Texas that is now floating in the Pacific. Shakyamuni Buddha often said that the world would become toxic to an extreme degree and it’s no lie that our environmental ways are poisoning the planet. The BP spill is an example, but this one represents an even larger long term danger.

Forget all this emphasis on global warming — this is the problem we should be working on. Silly me, I kept envisoning ships sweeping the ocean with nets between them to corral the waste so that it could be compacted and towed somewhere, but also knew it wouldn’t work because people would have already suggested this methodology. Finally I found something that the billionaires of the world should finance as a try:

http://www.rense.com/general90/rid.htm

Start your ideas swirling after reading about the Thermal Conversion Process perfected by a New York company, Changing World Technologies.

And speaking about saving the oceans, Kevin Costner, the actor, has funded to the tune of over $20M the development of barges that suck up oil spills in water, spin the water in a centrifuge, and separate out the oil from the water for a 99% clean discharge … a way to help clean up ocean oil spills. This is exactly the type of free thinking, far thinking, important thinking that I always urge people to do, especially the superrich looking for ways to spend their monies on charity.

This is also where I get very disappointed because the people best positioned to invest in something like this are the oil companies themselves and the billionaires of the world and both did nothing. I’ve always been trying to figure out a way to clean oil spills from the ocean and here we have an actor spending his own funds to do so, which to me is an embarassment of the mega-rich:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2011925837_oilkevin22.html

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/bp-calls-in-costners-26m-vacuum-cleaners-to-mop-up-huge-oil-spill-1979976.html

The growing disasters over the next few decades will not just be oil spills, but seed/crop disasters caused by unwise policies of Monsanto and other companies. These catastrophes are happening before our very eyes, just like the banking crisis, and when they occur it will be too late for legislation. “We didn’t know. The science said __” will be all the rage of officials trying to cover their butts. I warned you of the recession. Don’t say I didn’t wan you about this.

Someone who had bedbugs wrote this and sent to me on how he finally got rid of them. Since it might be of use to someone out there, I’m posting it on the web for everyone to make one man’s experience publicly available.

1. diatomaceous earth – WORKED. it scratches the heck out of them and makes them
slow and stupid, it was much easier to kill them, they were not as good about
hiding, and when they would come to bite we could almost always feel them (as
opposed to before, when we could only feel the bite a while after they left) and
it’s pretty dang cheap. it works best combined with deep cleaning.

2. deep cleaning – absolute necessity. Use a vacuum, suck up every little corner
nook and cranny. We found deep cleaning not to be enough by itsself though, there
were just too many areas they could hide in. Get rid of every mattress and couch
they have been in, it’s no use trying to save the furniture. We would put the
diatomaceous earth down, wait a day then vacuum, then put the earth down again and
repeat until they disappeared.

3. pesticides/herbicides – BIG NO. the only one proven to kill them is ddt, which
will also kill you, and is illegal in america.

4. rubbing alcohol to keep them away from things- YEAH RIGHT. they always made it up
anyway. i caught a few and poured rubbing alcohol on them, the next day they were
still fine. doesn’t work

5. not killing them because you are a buddhist and think killing is wrong, even bugs
- and what about the health of your family, (no one with bed bugs gets a good nights
sleep) and the health of your neighbors family? they spread like the plague, they
invade your house and attack, suck your blood all ninja-like in the night when you
can’t see them. 1 female can have 3 hundred babies, who can live up to a year and a
half without eating, waiting for the chance to eat just once and make more babies.
these are not the bugs you gently lay outside, they will come back or they will go
find your neighbor.

People often write me saying they are old and weak and lost too much jing .. what shoudl they do?

taosim says to practice emptiness meditation and because one thereby cultivates shen (awareness without clinging), this will in time give rise to jing and chi. Why? Jing transforms into chi and chi into shen and vica versa.

For older people my teacher often recommended the Chinese medicine Liu Wei Di Huang Wang, which costs about $4 in any Chinese pharmacy, to help restore the debilitating effects from such loss in conjunction with old age.

Anything else? Some schools say to eat sesame seeds, which Chinese make into a tasty black soup. A Delicious desert we’d eat in Hong Kong all the time though I like Almond soup a little better.

The Indians say to eat pistachios and also the marrow from lamb bones.

Whatever you do, don’t eat the stimulating herbs with ginseng, oysters, etc. that stimulate but do not help renew the body.

A friend of mine, Dr. Jeffrey Moss, owns a nutritional supplement company and a few years ago went through hell due to tinnituis. Having access to almost any supplement and modality available, he tried many things until he came upon Dr. Natan Bauman of Hamden, CT (203-287-9915). What finally helped Jeff was Dr. Bauman’s teaching on what to do to reduce the problem and what causes it, and Jeff attributes an awfully large part of his “cure” to meditation.

In the elderly, tinnitus is often due to poor circulation, and can often be helped with anti-inflammatory, pro-circulatory supplements such as ginko biloba, vinpocetine, and nattokinase.

For individuals who have actually physically damaged their ears — such as musicians — the tinnitus is therefore caused by anatomical damage and supplements usually don’t help much in these cases. In these cases, various hearing aid devices that retrain the listening function can help.

Jeff explained that so much of tinnitus has to due with a limbic system-inner ear connection, so any type of emotional/mental issue (that’s limbic) will magnify and prolong the problem. People will hear it less or not all because of their minds, and the way to break the limbic connection is through meditation.

Neural biofeedback techniques can often help in this direction by redirecting brain function and chemistry, but Jeff says the best answer he’s found is meditation. Dr. Bauman, he explained, knows more about hearing than anyone he’s ever met and can help explain the nature of the problem and options available.

There’s also Kevin Hogan’s tinnitus program you might look into as well:

Finally, one of the researchers on Gardasil speaks out:

http://thebulletin.us/articles/2009/10/25/top_stories/doc4ae4b76d07e16766677720.txt

In October 2007 — yes, two years ago, I told you to use common sense to figure this out,…and now my common sense view has proved correct despite all the PR and articles and “we’ve got to do something” claimed by Merck and the media. Remember when I wrote:

Gardasil, that Merck vaccine I warned you about several blog posts back, has already been linked to 5 deaths and over 2000 adverse reactions, bringing the “known total” of such problems to an astronomical amount.

This is happening to little girls, mind you, with no risk of cancer at that age — and they’re still pushing it. Duh? Who’s getting compensated that they pushed this so strongly in spite of the logic against it and who’s not thinking straight? Which legislators should lose office?

Conventional wisdom – You want to risk vaccinating 11-12 year old girls (with practically zero risk of cervical cancer at that age) with an untested vaccine with no long term studies of effects (such as causing cancer itself, or even the possibility of induced sterility) … and you want to do this when only 4000 people per year (out of 150 million women) die of cervical cancer and this is the initial response rate ?

I also told you about the recession WAY before the government and press did, once again from common sense. IBM says THINK — don’t buy into the PR you see on TV. For instance, “the recession is over” — nonsense.

Another case — President Obama recently said we were in a state of national emergency for 1000 flu deaths. Now considering that over 25,000 people die per year from the flu, what’s that all about? Frankly, we have normal flu behavior — nothing to strike fear into the hearts of people, unless they don’t THINK.

Here’s what CBS uncovered about the coverup regarding the disaster hoopla that never came …

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/10/27/Obama-Declares-Swine-Flu-Emergency.aspx

Other points you should think about — the Options Arm mortigage problem and commercial real estate problems are yet to hit next year, so how can you say a recession is over when THAT and the fact that unemployment is rising (and will probably hit 20% in some places by 2011 if those problems aren’t solved) exist … and how can you stimulate jobs if we’ve outsourced both service jobs (phone answerers, customer service, etc.) and MANUFACTURING, which is the basis of national wealth. Sorry, can’t be done. We’re in for a ride.

And do you really think that (1) health care costs will now go down and (2) insurance premiums will decline with the government’s new plan? You really believe that because of the budget projection the Senators are so proud of? When was the last time a government program came in on budget (NASA, Medicaid, …)? A doctor who makes rounds in a hospital can stop and see you for one minute, mark his name down on the chart, and they’ll bill you $250. You’re never going to stop that behavior because that’s how he makes his money.

Another example: Surgeons have a minimum numbers of surgeries they must do each year in order to keep their license and hospital privileges … all designed to keep the money rolling in. So you might NOT need a knee operation, but there’s a tremendous pressure for a knee surgeon to find 250 people to operate on to keep those rights even though far less actually need the surgery. That’s how it works.

Go read the Gardasil article again and what I predicted would happen … all 100% true. All from just common sense. Please understand profit motive causes corporations to push things people would not normally do, and yet employees within those organizations will do it because they don’t want to lose their jobs OR they just convince themselves that wrong is right or black is white (note in the article that the Gardasil researcher wanted to sleep at night) … like smoking doesn’t cause cancer, etc.

THINK. Expand that understanding to business, politics, and cultivation. Don’t get cheated. Money now controls so much of public policy so your chances of getting cheated are going to rise if there’s big money to be made by some group which can grab politicians and the airwaves and pro-whatever groups that say “We HAVE to do something.” Sometimes doing nothing is the best something because any other “something” would make things worst. Seems that’s the case with much of our interventionist foreign policy, which is now seeing continuining rises in blowback and backlash, and with the rise of the internet and modern communications in other countries where wrongs can be instantly telegraphed everywhere, we’re in trouble if we don’t change strategies.

Brite Eyes (Lef.org) and CAN-C are well known cataract eyedrops for those whose vision is just beginning to get blurry. Mnay people have seen improvement and reversal of their cataracts if they act early enough.

If the cataracts are advanced, it’s probably too late. In Chinese medicine you prevent or reverse early cataract formation by cleansing the liver and eliminating “liver fire” or liver toxins that travel to the eyes and contribute to the formation. By the time you have cataracts, this approach is almost too late.

As to floaters, other than diabetes, for most men a large contributing factor is sexual dissipation –excessive loss of semen through ejaculation. If you are a young man and have floaters, now you know why. This is another finding of Chinese medicine. The cure? Replenish the body though meditation, and accumulate your jing rather than lose it. Sometimes this works, sometimes not, but that’s the clearest advice you will probably ever find. It takes sevral motnhs of restraint for the body to replenish itself.

Will eye vitamins help eliminate these problems? They’ll help with retinopathy, night vision, macular degeneration and eye health in general (especially if the ingredients contain billberry, eyebright, lutein, etc.) but for these problems SPECIFICALLY, who can say? For some yes (because of that person’s particular tie-ins with the conditions) and for others no. It’s like arthritis or cholesterol drugs — sometimes they work for you and sometimes not … in which case you try a different drug or different approach. Common sense.

Meditation that restores normal chi flow to diseased organs always helps. Getting off drugs causing vision problems often helps. It’s a complicated subject.

One of the problems with helping people naturopathically is that they take the wrong brand of supplement, or wrong dosage, or wrong quality/quantity of main ingredient, or not long enough for it to take effect, or on haphazard schedule … or one of several different reasons that prompt people to prematurely/unfairly say “it didn’t work.”

Sometimes people make the opposite mistake and think something worked from the alternative field when it didn’t. What are some of these possible errors?

1. the disease ran its natural course
2. the disease is cyclical, with ups and downs, and the “cure” coincided with a cyclical downturn
3. the placebo effect may have been responsible
4. the original prognosis/diagnosis may have been wrong (for which they took the supplement)
5. a temporary mood improvement may be confused with cure
6. people who hedge their bets by doing multiple things may credit the wrong thing
7. psychological needs can distort what people perceive

next time someone said a supplement didn’t work, or worked, better step through these possibilities in your mind.
